Looking forward to the BMEEA Conference Day 2024

The 2024 British Marine Electrical and Electronics Association Conference is due to take place on Wednesday, 7th February 2024 at the Novotel, West Quay, Southampton. This exciting event provides an opportunity for all sectors of the marine industry to get together not only to discuss topics of mutual interest but also to create and build beneficial business relationships as well as stimulating interest from apprentices, in career opportunities in the leisure marine service industry.

The Conference will include a number of presentations by distinguished speakers.  We will be focussing our interest on this occasion E propulsion and Hybrid, including the importance and value of such schemes to our businesses, as well as changes happening within BM and BMEEA and

how BMEEA can best support our members' needs in the future.

 

Plenty of time will also be available during the day for networking sessions with colleagues from all parts of our industry.

The afternoon will finish with our brief AGM to which all members are welcome


Awards

After a full day of conferencing and the Annual General Meeting, there will be the Annual Dinner which will see the following awardsannounced:


  • BMEEA Newly Certificated Electronic Technician of the Year Award
  • BMEEA Newly Certificated Electrical Technician of the Year Award

Derek Gilbert, BMEEA Chairman said, ’We are delighted to recognise the two technical qualification awards, which were chosen from a shortlist of newly certificated engineers across the industry from both Electrical and Electronic backgrounds and we commend the aptitude and skills of the recipients’ 

 

The day should be full of interest with the return of the previously successful apprentices.


The Conference is open to all in the marine industry – and is free for up to 2 delegates from BMEEA member companies; additional delegates, and non-BMEEA members will be chargeable to include entrance to all the presentations, coffee and lunch.
